Worship
According to the Westminster Catechism, one of the founding guidelines of the Presbyterian Church, the principle purpose of humanity is to glorify God and enjoy the Lord forever. We gather in worship as the people of God, praising the Lord through music and prayer, and meet the Lord in scripture and the Word proclaimed.
Here at First Presbyterian we understand that there are multiple styles of worship. We offer contemporary worship as we praise God with modern song offered with guitars, piano and drums in an informal setting. We offer traditional worship with organ, Chancel Choir and Carillon Handbell ensemble in a traditional setting.
In both services our Pastors offer Scripture -based sermons to help us know more of God, and the Lord’s call and plan for us in our individual lives.
Both services provide the opportunity to pray for the needs of the world which Jesus loved and for whom Jesus died.
We celebrate the Sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and seasonally during Christmas and Easter. The Sacrament of Baptism occurs throughout the year. Contact the church office or Pastor to schedule baptism for your children or for yourself.
